          Family Freeloaders

          March 11, 2004

Unemployed, unmotivated and under your roof — they’re family freeloaders and they’re hurting the ones they love the most. Dr. Phil has advice for a 28-year-old who still lives at home and a 20-year-old who is happy to live in his older sister’s house but refuses to do any of the chores necessary to maintain it. Also, Dr. Phil finds out why a daughter thinks her mother is a gold digger.

          Living at Home at 28
Jeremy is 28, unemployed, has never had a girlfriend, and is still living in his parents’ house. His brother Brian thinks he’s mooching off of their parents and wants Jeremy to get his life together. Jeremy says he’s unhappy with the way things are, but can’t figure out how to make it better.

Dr. Phil gives Jeremy his strong advice.

          A Lazy Brother
Derek is not doing his part around the house and it’s driving his sister Chantelle crazy. At 20, he has no more excuses for being irresponsible. Dr. Phil takes a close look at this sibling relationship and has some strong advice for Chantelle and Derek.

See what Dr. Phil says to the siblings.

          A Gold Digging Mother
Justine claims that her mother Jennifer is an opportunist who uses her good looks and charm to gain gifts from men. Dr. Phil takes a closer look at what’s really going on.

Dr. Phil Examines this mother/daughter dynamic.
