Thom, 61, is a former convict-turned-pastor who says he’s served time behind bars for crimes that include drug possession, carrying a concealed weapon, assault, forgery and grand theft. But now he’s making headlines for a different reason: Thom says he’s a polyganist and in June 2015, he “spiritually" wed and was expecting a child with 19-year-old Reba -- with the blessing of his 44-year-old wife, Belinda.

Belinda says she believes bringing a “sister wife” into her marriage is a “beautiful thing” and she’s grateful to have the extra help around the house.

Reba, who’s known Thom since she was 8, says despite the 41-year age gap, she knows she’s with the love of her life.

Thom claims the backlash to their lifestyle from the community and on social media has been so severe that he fears he may lose custody of his unborn child – and even fears for his life. Is this an alternative union of true love? What does Dr. Phil think?

And, Pastor Joel Osteen joins Dr. Phil to talk about his new book, The Power of I Am: Two Words That Will Change Your Life Today.
