          "Who Am I?"

          August 28, 2007

What if everything you thought you knew about yourself was a lie? How would you feel if you discovered that your parents weren’t your biological parents? Or, if you found out that you had family who may not even have known you exist? Or, if you had family who didn’t care to find you?

Savannah, 27, has never known her biological mother and has always felt incomplete. She says her mother, Peggy, vanished when she and her sister were very young, and she’s always wondered why her mom never tried to find them.

“I have a vague memory of standing at the window, waiting for her to come back.”

Savannah meets her mother, Peggy, face to face for the first time in over 20 years and asks her most pressing question: Why? Peggy says she didn’t abandon her kids and tried to track them down, but Savannah doesn’t buy it.

“How could you move on without knowing your kids?”

          38-Year Family Secret

George says his entire family kept a secret from him for 38 years. He just found out that his father is not his biological father, and the only person who knows who is died two years ago.

          Help George find his father.

          Unsolved Mystery

Rena’s mother passed away when she was 10, and that’s when she learned that she had no legal identity. Her parents weren’t her biological parents, her birth certificate was fake and her social security number belonged to someone else.

Without these documents, Rena’s life is on hold.

          Starting Over?

Savannah and Peggy return to the stage after taking some time to have their first real conversation. Has Savannah heard anything from her newly found mom that will help her heal?

Can they have a relationship as mother and daughter?
