Deborah says for 27 years, she put her father, Robert Brashers, on a pedestal. She says that all changed three years ago when the police knocked on her door and asked for a DNA sample. That’s when she says she learned her loving, perfect father had lived a double life – and then his name was splashed across the headlines. Investigators determined Brashers was responsible for a string of killings, sexual assaults, and burglaries between 1985 and 1998. Deborah says she wonders how could this be the father she loved? And, more importantly, how was he able get away with murder before he died in 1999? Deborah says she feels guilty for her father’s sins and asks Dr. Phil if she’s been contaminated by her father’s DNA.
