19-Year-Old Blames Mental Illness For Physical Fight With His Brother

          December 19, 2017

Amy and Chris say since their 19-year-old son, Chase, had a severe panic attack 14 months ago after trying marijuana one time, he has dropped out of college, been in and out of the hospital multiple times, stole Amy’s car, is disrespectful toward them, and has become physically aggressive.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: At your final breaking point?

Chris describes a physical altercation between Chase and his brother, Trey.

“Trey accused Chase of faking his own illness. That angered Chase, and he continued to physically attack my son, Trey. He hit him several times, Chase grabbed Trey’s hair out of his head and destroyed his shirt.”

“A physical fight between my brother and me, I blame the illness and not myself,” says Chase. Does he say he regrets hitting his brother?
