A Defense Attorney On Why Brian Laundrie Might Have Chosen Not To Talk About Gabby Petito’s Disappearance
Gabby Petito’s parents say that after not hearing from the 22-year-old who had been traveling the country in her van with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, for days, they reported her missing on September 11, 2021. Her body was found in Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming on September 19.
Laundrie, who returned to his parents' Florida home on September 1, has refused to speak to her parents or to law enforcement about what may have happened to her. Gabby’s father, Joseph Petito, told Dr. Phil on Monday's episode, "Missing 'Van Life' Woman’s Father Speaks Out: The Dr. Phil Interview," that because of Laundrie’s silence, he had no idea where to even begin looking for his daughter.

On Wednesday’s episode, "'Van Life' to Vanished: Inside Gabby Petito's Disappearance and Death," Dr. Phil speaks with TV host Nancy Grace, a former law enforcement officer and FBI defense tactics instructor, and a body language expert, who all weigh in on the unusual circumstances.
