A Young Pregnant Woman’s Family Members Say They Fear For Her Life As A Heroin Addict
Sharon says growing up, her daughter Niki excelled at everything. She was a straight-A student and captain of the cheerleading squad. “Now all she seems to excel at is being a drug addict,” says Sharon of the 27-year-old, who is also eight months pregnant.

Niki’s sister, Sammantha, describes her as a beautiful, smart and motivated young woman who “had everything going for her,” at least, until the drugs. “She did heroin once, and that was it - she was hooked.”

In the video above, Sharon talks about what it’s been like to watch Niki, who is eight months pregnant, fall deeper into her drug habit over the last seven years. “The most painful part was watching her slip away and knowing I couldn’t do anything.”

Sammantha says she’s tried confronting her sister but claims nothing gets through to Niki. “My fear is that if things don’t change, I’m going to have to be visiting her at her grave.”
Niki, who now lives in Florida with her boyfriend Jessey, admits to using about a gram of heroin every day.
