Lindsay is an admitted addict who acknowledges she overdosed twice while pregnant, and that her son was born dependent on heroin. She also spent time in jail after getting into a car crash while allegedly high on the drug. Her then 8-month-old child was in the back seat at the time of the collision.

Lindsay claims she’s been clean for the past six months, but when Dr. Phil questions her, she concedes to using prescription medication. Then, Dr. Phil plays a video of Lindsay during a pre-show interview with producers in which he says Lindsay appears to be slurring her words.

“It just blows my mind how much control it has and how I can’t recognize it until it’s in my face like that,” she says after viewing the recording.

“I think you know what you’re doing,” says life coach and author Mike Bayer, to Lindsay on Wednesday’s Dr. Phil.

Continuing, he says, “You can choose to be in recovery, or you can choose not to be in recovery.”
