Carrie says that after a series of medical issues, she became dependent on the prescription medications her doctors prescribed, which eventually lead her to become a heroin addict.

“I blame the doctors for my being an addict,” the mom of three says, adding that the doctors never educated her From PTA Mom To Addicted And Homless In Her Luxury Suvabout the drugs she was taking. “I was prescribed all these pain medicines, Vicodin, Oxycodone, and I eventually became reliant upon them. I would be physically sick if I didn’t take them.”

Carrie says, however, that there was an upside to the medication; the pills gave her power to become a supermom.

“I had to maintain the big household, do all the chores, all the kid’s activities. I was in the school districts volunteering. The pills would give me a boost, that spunk of energy,” says Carrie, who admits she's been taking Oxycodone for the last four-and-a-half years. “When I had to get up, drive my daughter to school, I’ve been on pills. When I had late nights doing homework or sport activities or a big dinner, I’ve been on pills. When my children had school events, I would go in the bathroom, take my pills.”
