Susan says she’s at war with her daughter, Bekah, and son-in-law, David. She says they no longer allow her to see her grandchildren – and she’s never met her newest granddaughter – because she says Bekah claims she has “sinful behavior.” She also claims Bekah and David have diagnosed her with a personality disorder and insist she get treated.

Bekah claims her mother is unstable and even discharged a firearm in her own home. She says it’s her mother’s anger and negativity that has made her and her husband come to the drastic conclusion to exclude Susan from their lives.

Dr. Phil offers the family advice on moving forward.
“You can be a right fighter, or you can look for a solution, and you can ask yourself, ‘Do I want to be right, or do I want to be happy?’” Dr. Phil says. “You cannot be happy at this point. If you are at peace excluding your mother from your life, if you are at peace having a 2-month-old child and your mother has not even met that child, then let me tell you, the person who needs to be diagnosed is you.”
