Orlando Brown spent his teen years co-starring on The Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven. More recently, the now 30-year-old actor has reportedly struggled with addiction, homelessness and mental health issues.

Orlando’s friend and manager Solomon Barron says he took the actor into his home several months ago, but reached his “limit” both financially and emotionally, and recently had to kick him out. Saying he feared Orlando would end up dead, Solomon reached out to ask Dr. Phil to intervene.

On learning that Orlando has agreed to go to a dual diagnosis and treatment facility he says, “At least he has a chance. He has a fighting chance. He just has to do the right thing. He has to have the right care.”
“Orlando has been committed to treatment and has made great strides,” says Dr. Phil at the conclusion of his interview with the actor.
