Brandon is currently on the run from the law. The 29-year-old claims he inadvertently missed a Border Control checkpoint while driving and was then chased by police.

“I did not feel comfortable stopping for my own safety and for my wife’s safety,” he says. “I had 13-15 men around me manhandling me, two shotguns were up to my temples.”

He says authorities found Morning Glory seeds in his possession and charged him with possession of a controlled substance, but explains that he doesn’t believe he should have been charged because the seeds were legally purchased at a store. He recently violated the probation when he moved to Los Angeles four months ago to pursue his dreams of becoming a rock star drummer, and now there is a federal warrant for his arrest.

In the video above from Friday’s episode of Dr. Phil, attorney Chris Chatham weighs in on Brandon’s situation and offers him advice.

“If there’s anything you take away from anything I’m going to tell you today, please, go turn yourself in and own this situation. It will not get better for you,” Chris tells Brandon. “You have a glimpse of time right now to own this situation. You can make this better for yourself. But you will not make it better for yourself if law enforcement extradites you, takes you in front of a judge and you didn’t do it on your own free will. That’s going to be a major problem.”
