“I am very enthusiastic about how my life is going right now,” says Michelle Knight. “Compared to a decade ago, I was in a place where I was very confused about the world and how the world worked.”

Knight was the first of three women abducted by Ariel Castro and held for more than a decade inside Cleveland’s now notorious House of Horrors. Knight says her life was like a living hell and that she was chained, tortured and abused.

Now, almost five years after beginning her new life, Knight says she is focused on helping others.

“I’m a motivational speaker that goes around the world speaking on behalf of missing and exploited children, human trafficking,” she says.

Knight has also written a new book, “Life After Darkness,” and in it she reveals how she found peace, happiness, and even love.

“My journey into trusting again, it was a long and painful road. I came so far, and everything is so peaceful now,” she says. “Now that I found love, and I’m happy, I can do anything.”

On Tuesday’s episode of Dr. Phil, Knight shares exciting news.

“I’m married, Dr. Phil,” she reveals.
