Comedian Says He Believes Chloroquine Saved His Life As He Battled COVID-19
James, a comedian living in New York, says in March, he was suffering from bilateral pneumonia and severe aches and pains, and that he couldn’t breathe from coughing excessively. He says he went to the hospital and learned he tested positive for COVID-19. He says at first, he was treated with Hydroxychloroquine for a few days.

“At this point, I thought I was going to pass away,” he tells Dr. Phil on Wednesday’s episode. He says that’s when his doctor switched him to chloroquine. “They gave me chloroquine Thursday morning, Thursday afternoon. At about midnight Thursday night, I woke up and I said, ‘I feel a little bit better.’”
