Could A Man Who Claims He Doesn’t Remember Abusing His Wife Be Experiencing Blackout Rage?
Sara claims that her husband, Jason, has been verbally and physically abusing her for years and says she has never told anyone until now. Jason admits it but insists he never hurt Sara so severely that she needed to be hospitalized. Sara refutes Jason’s claim and says that she did go to the hospital after he chased her, then attacked her while she was pregnant with their youngest child.
“We were fighting, and he caught me and slammed me to the ground,” she says. Sara says that she lied to the hospital staff and told them that she fell down the porch steps.
When Dr. Phil suggests that Jason may be experiencing blackout rage, how does Jason respond?
Part one of this two-part episode of Dr. Phil, ‘“My Husband Can’t Control His Violent Temper’,” airs Tuesday. And in Wednesday's conclusion, ”’Dangerous Love: A Couple’s Big Decision’,” Jason says he will do whatever it takes to change his behavior, but how far is he willing to go?
Dr. Phil airs Monday – Friday. Check your local listing to find out where to watch.
