Bryan Kohberger, a 28-year-old Ph.D. candidate in criminal and criminology at Washington State University, stands accused of stabbing four University of Idaho students to death on November 13, 2022. Kohberger has reportedly maintained his innocence. As part of his prior studies at DeSales University, Kohberger studied under Dr. Katherine Ramsland, a professor of forensic psychology and criminology.

“Dr. Ramsland has had a many years' relationship, academically and personally, through correspondence and phone calls with my father,” says Kerri Rawson, daughter of Dennis Rader, the infamous serial killer known as BTK.

On Friday’s conclusion of the two-part Dr. Phil , “Idaho Murders Suspect: Childhood Details Revealed,” Rawson says, “We know that Kohberger studied my dad in academic classes. I guess my question is - did he have a further interest in my dad outside of classes or further influence through Dr. Ramsland’s teachings?”

Watch the video above to hear Kerri Rawson talk with Dr. Phil about the similarities she has observed between her father and Bryan Kohberger. She also expresses that she can relate to what the suspect’s family must be going through.
