Death Row Inmate Rodney Reed Maintains Innocence 22 Years After Rape And Murder Conviction
Rodney Reed, 52, has been on death row in Texas since 1998 after being convicted of the Bastrop County rape and murder of 19-year-old Stacey Stites in 1996. He is scheduled to be executed on November 20, 2019

With execution just weeks away, Dr. Phil stepped inside the Livingston, Texas prison to interview Reed.

“Did you rape Stacey Stites,” he asks Reed in the video above. “Did you murder Stacey Stites?”
“No, I didn’t,” answers Reed to both questions.
Rodney Reed, who has maintained his innocence for over 22 years, has exhausted all appeals. Now attorneys with the Innocence Project are seeking a stay of execution.
