Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a neurosurgeon who practiced in Texas, was sentenced to life in prison in 2017. Dr. Duntsch, who has been nicknamed “Dr. Death,” reportedly maimed 33 patients, with two of them later dying after surgery, from 2011-2013. In 2015, Duntsch was indicted on five counts of aggravated assault and one count of harming an elderly person, for which he was convicted.

Robbie McClung, one of the attorneys who represented Dr. Duntsch during his 2017 trial, appears on Dr. Phil on Thursday to share her thoughts on the case. In the video above, hear some surprising comments she makes.

Also on Thursday, a man who claims he was permanently injured by Dr. Duntsch shares his story, and a woman who says she considered Duntsch her “second son” until her son became a quadriplegic after undergoing surgery with the doctor speaks out for the first time.
