“Abby’s episodes have taken a toll on our sex life. We have to sleep with the light on because Abby’s afraid of the dark,” James says.
James says Abby claims that she was possessed by demons
for 10 years but that after three exorcisms, the demons were removed. Now, she says she suffers from extreme PTSD and has episodes that mimic the demonic possessions.

In the video above, Dr. Phil examines the triggers that have preceded Abby’s PTSD episodes.
“There are stressors that correspond to the onset of the possessions,” he says. “Demons don’t respond to life triggers; they do what they want to do when they want to do it.”
