According to Alyssa’s best friend Kathy, a few months after her husband Nick died, Alyssa “went nuts.” Kathy claims Alyssa isolated herself, began drinking heavily and behaved provocatively. Alyssa’s family says they’ve confronted Alyssa over her behaviors, but their attempts to intervene haven’t been successful.

In the video above, daughter Anna says the first time the family tried to convince Alyssa to get help was when Nick was still alive. “That intervention really helped her, and she actually went and tried to get help.”

But Alyssa’s stepmother Bonnie says it didn’t last. “She was there for maybe a week – 10 days, and then she checked herself out.”
