Marcus and his wife, Amber, claim that Marcus’ ex-wife, Cari, suffers from Munchausen syndrome by proxy. The couple claims Cari is always saying that her two sons, whom she shares with Marcus, are sick and that her first reaction is to take the boys to the emergency room. Marcus and Amber also claim that Cari overmedicates the children.

“My boys are not unhealthy,” Marcus says. “I think Cari does this because she needs to feel like she’s the one taking care of them. She has to feel important.”

Cari says her sons suffer from allergies and asthma and admits that they take a lot of medications for the conditions. “I’ve always been on top of all their medications and dosage,” she says. “I take that responsibility very seriously.”

In the video above, Dr. Phil reviews the medications and dosages that Cari’s sons are taking. How does Cari explain giving the boys different doses than what has been prescribed?
