Krysti says she can’t live with her sister-in-law, Ashleigh, at her mother-in-law, Kristin’s, home because she claims Ashleigh is unstable, unreliable, on drugs - and tried to have her infant son taken away from her. She says if Kristin doesn't kick Ashleigh out of the house, she’ll take her son and leave – with or without her husband, Jacob.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Is your family a stressed mess?

Ashleigh admits she’s struggled with addiction but claims she’s been drug-free for a while. She denies Krysti’s claim that she tried to have her baby taken away.

Kristin says she’s caught in the middle between her daughter and her daughter-in-law and doesn’t know what to do.

“I think it is an absolute absurd scenario that you would be put in a position of having to make a choice between your daughter and your daughter-in-law,” Dr. Phil tells Kristin on Monday’s episode. “This is your house, and these adults that are living there are your guests. A guest doesn’t come into your house and demand that you start making choices about who else gets to stay there.”

To Krysti he says, “You don’t hold a grandchild hostage to leverage somebody into doing what you don’t want to do.”

When Dr. Phil reads back the results of a drug test Ashleigh took before the show, is everyone satisfied with the outcome? Why does Jacob say there are days he just wants to cut off all ties with his family – and get a divorce? Tune in to Monday’s Dr. Phil.
