Dr. Phil To Guests:’I Don’t See How You Quite Have This Worked Out Yet’

          VIDEO

          February 14, 2018

Erica, who has two children with her boyfriend, Chris, claims her parents don’t approve of him because he’s Black and they’re in a polyamorous relationship with Charnell, who is currently pregnant with Chris’s child.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Is your family a stressed mess?

Erica’s mother, Suzanne, father, Guy, and stepmother, Susan, say they don’t agree with her poly lifestyle and claim she was forced into it by Chris. They also claim that Chris and Erica are currently homeless, refuse to work and are putting their children in danger by using them as “props” when Erica and Charnell panhandle on the streets.

Chris claims he’s a good father to his children and a good coach and leader for Erica and Charnell. He says he believes the key to a better world is living in a cooperative where everyone works together as a family; bartering with each other and forgetting about the value of money.

Dr. Phil says he sees “a lot of contradictions” between Chris’s claimed position and his family’s reality. “Because your position is, you say we need to live independent of the system, but yet you’re on food stamps, and you use homeless shelters.”

When he says “I don’t see how you quite have this worked out yet,” how do Chris and Erica respond? This episode airs Tuesday.
