Thirteen-year-old Dylan Redwine vanished without a trace in November 2012 during a court ordered visit with his father, Mark, in Colorado. Dylan’s parents, Mark and Elaine, appeared on Dr. Phil
in February 2013, where Elaine said she felt that her ex-husband, Mark, was hiding something about what happened to Dylan and confronted Mark, desperate for answers.
Mark denied having anything to do with his son’s disappearance, and although he agreed to take a polygraph test, it was never completed.
In June 2013, authorities announced that Dylan’s partial remains were found near Vallecito Resevoir in southwestern Colorado, about 10 miles from his father’s house. A cause of death could not be immediately determined.
Mark was named by authorities as the lone person of interest in Dylan’s death. On July 22, 2017, Mark was arrested and charged with second degree murder and child abuse resulting in death.
