Abby says she suffers from severe PTSD episodes that are taking over her life. She says that she used to be possessed by demons but after three exorcisms, the demons were removed and now, PTSD from being possessed is consuming her. She says her episodes are often triggered by being stressed, having an argument with her husband, or taking a shower. She says that sometimes during an episode, she feels like she has been beaten, stabbed and raped.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: I'm Living A Nightmare!

After speaking with Abby and her family, Dr. Phil explains how Abby’s symptoms are not unique to demon possession, and it’s possible she may be suffering from another condition, such as anxiety. He introduces Dr. Frank Lawlis, chairman of the Dr. Phil Advisory Board and co-founder of the Lawlis Peavey PNP Center in Dallas, who offers Abby some hope for treating her condition, which includes treating the amygdala part of her brain with sound therapy.
