Bryan says after his son started acting out in school and was suspended from riding the bus for shoving and punching other children, he decided to try a new discipline tactic: he made the 11-year-old run one mile to school in the rain.

“Being the athlete he is and knowing he can run, letting him run to school would, literally, cool him off,” Bryan says. “I got my phone out, went to Facebook live and then from there, it just went viral.”

He says he received mixed reaction from some of the millions of strangers who viewed his video – but he says his son’s behavior has improved, and they’ve seen a “huge change in the bullying.”
