Former Reality TV Star Says Fatherhood Is ‘The Best Thing That’s Ever Happened To Me’

          January 3, 2017

The reality show contestant best known to fans of CMT’s Redneck Island by the nickname “Tank D” says he loves being a dad. The self-confessed “bad-boy,” whose real name is Jason, says fatherhood is “the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Betrayed by a spouse or family member?

But Jason’s ex-girlfriend has a different point of view. “In his fantasy world, he thinks he is’ father of the year,’” says Jessica, who split up with Jason about two months ago, over what she claims was his partying, cheating and abuse. She claims Jason is a “deadbeat dad” who “only wants to see [the baby] when it’s convenient for him; snap a few pictures – post them to social media – and his job is done.” She says if Jason doesn’t change “he shouldn’t be in our son’s life.”

Jason claims Jessica is using their baby to manipulate him and the only reason he agreed to appear on Dr. Phil is because she promised he would get to see his son.

Can Dr. Phil convince Jason and Jessica to set aside their differences and learn how to put their son first? This episode airs Wednesday.
