Sandy claims she filed for permanent guardianship of her 20-month-old grandson because her daughter, Katelyn, is an unfit mother who can’t afford to take care of him properly, but Katelyn claims Sandy has stolen her child.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Betrayed by a loved one?

“Considering the fact that I was adopted, I think my mom was bitter because she knew that I wasn’t her child,” claims Katelyn, adding, “She took the only biological human being in this world that is mine.”

“I’m almost 24 now and I have a full-time job. I have my own apartment,” she continues. “My son is a little over a year and a half. Every day that I wake up I wonder does he know who I am? Give me my child back.”

Sandy vehemently denies “stealing” Katelyn’s son. She says she enjoys being a grandmother but claims she wants Katelyn to have her son. “It’s permanent custody that can be reversed if Katelyn would go through the steps to regain custody.”
