          Benjamin Eastman says it wasn’t unusual for his son Ben to be gone from his home for days at a time. He says the 16-year-old often spent time at his good friend Benny Marquez’s house up the road. However, Eastman says when he didn’t hear from his son for three days, he started searching for the teen.

          In an exclusive interview with Dr. Phil airing Wednesday, Eastman recalls the events that led up to his friends finding Ben’s body in a shallow grave on property owned by Marquez’s relatives. Eastman reveals why he was never able to say goodbye to his son.

          Marquez and Adamson have been charged with first-degree murder, rape, tampering with evidence and unlawful disposal of remains. Both have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
