          Charlamagne Tha God is a co-host of the popular iHeartRadio program “The Breakfast Club,” where he is known to be brash and bold and ask tough questions of his celebrity guests. He is also a New York Times best-selling author and recently released his second book, Shook One, where he talks about how his fears and anxieties have propelled him to success.

          “I didn’t set out to write a book about mental health. I just wanted to get a handle on my anxiety,” Charlamagne Tha God tells Dr. Phil on Tuesday’s episode.

          He says he’s been suffering from anxiety his whole life and started going to therapy seven years ago. “When you’re sitting with a therapist, you start unpacking things that you didn’t even realize was there,” he continues, adding that that was the inspiration for his latest book. “One of the easiest ways for me to even deal with the things I’m dealing with is to talk about it.”
