Carrie says she’s struggling to keep up with the demands of spending time with her preteen son, working, and caring for her elderly mother. She says the obligations leave her with little time to take care of herself.
 
“My mom has gotten to the point where she just refuses to help herself. She has given up,” Carrie says. “I feel with all these responsibilities, this is taking a big toll on me, and I cannot continue living this way.”
 

Carrie joins Dr. Phil on Wednesday’s episode, along with Lakelyn Eichenberger, gerontologist and spokesperson for Home Instead, who shares how Home Instead can help caregivers get a break from the overwhelm.
