Jonni’s 23-year-old daughter, Christina Morris, disappeared almost two years ago after a night out with friends.
Jonni has been relentlessly searching for her daughter ever since, but she says the time she has spent trying to find Christina has now put her marriage in jeopardy.
“I don’t know how to stop,” Jonni says on Tuesday’s Dr. Phil, adding that she’ll often spend 10-12 hours a day looking for Christina. “My obsession to finding my daughter is destroying my marriage. I definitely feel like my husband [Ronnie] does not understand how deep my pain is … I told Ronnie I didn’t care about him, I didn’t care about anybody but Christina.”
Christina was last seen in August 2014 when, after a night out with friends, she was spotted entering a parking garage with an acquaintance, Enrique Arochi. Enrique was seen leaving the parking garage three minutes later alone in his car – Christina has not been seen, nor heard from, since.
While Enrique has denied any involvement in Christina’s disappearance, he was arrested in December 2014 and charged with aggravated kidnapping, after authorities say Christina’s DNA was found in the trunk of his car.
Enrique is now behind bars, but there has still been no sign of Christina – and her mother says she will not rest until she gets some answers, no matter the toll it may take on her loved ones.
