‘I Became An Alcoholic The Day My Fiancé Passed Away,’ Says 31-Year-Old Former Model

          November 6, 2018

“I became an alcoholic the day that my fiancé passed away,” says Amanda. “From that moment on, I’ve been drinking almost every day.”

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Life in crisis?

The 31-year-old says her drinking started with a bottle of wine and then progressed to hard alcohol. She says after getting married and then divorced, her drinking got really bad. “I would wake up and take a shot and then, I would walk to the liquor store. I didn’t realize at that point that it was affecting my health,” says Amanda who has died twice and now lives with a pacemaker. “One drink turns into 10 drinks. It doesn’t just stop at one.”
