‘I Do Drink And Drive,’ Says Woman Who Has Received Three DUIs
“I do drink and drive,” says Laura, adding that she's driven while intoxicated "probably over 10,000 times."
Laura has received three DUIs but says she continues to drink and drive and even totaled her car when she hit a guardrail and flipped over. She says she has tried to stay sober, but the alcohol always wins, so she turned to Dr. Phil for help.
In the video above, Laura describes how she obtains her alcohol, what a typical day is like, and why she was recently in the hospital. Plus, Dr. Phil gets real with Laura about her behavior.
On Friday’s episode, “Behind the Wheel: Drunk and Deadly,” Laura reveals to her mother that she is no longer sober. And, Dawn and her daughter, Katie, share their tragic story of when Dawn’s car was struck by a drunk driver severely injuring her and killing three of her children. Then, on Monday, “Addicted to Driving Drunk: Laura’s Final Decision,” another mother who lost her daughter to a drunk driver and the man who killed her daughter have a message for Laura.
