When Reina was 10 years old, her family’s home caught fire, and she was trapped inside her bedroom. Her father was able to save her, but not before her body was covered in third-degree burns.

“After my family’s house caught fire, I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and PTSD, and I was prescribed Valium at 11 years old,” Reina says. “The first time I got drunk, I was 12 years old. Now, I get blackout drunk very often.”

Now 20, Reina says she’s living off of her $1.5 million insurance settlement and has “zero motivation.” She’s dropped out of college, parties and smokes marijuana.

“I don’t have anything else to do, so I spend money,” says Reina, who admits to blowing her monthly installments on lip injections, eyelashes, purses, nights out and a purebred dog. She says when her cash has dried up, she calls her dad for more.
