'I Have A Lying Addiction,' Says Woman Who Admits To Lying About Having Terminal Cancer And Muscular Dystrophy
“I have a lying addiction,” says Sarah. “The last eight years, I've done all kinds of extreme measures to make my life seem more exciting.”
Sarah says she told her first “big” lie in her mid-20s and has continued to deceive people. She admits she’s lied about having cancer, that she was married with children and that she had muscular dystrophy, even buying and using a wheelchair. She says she changes the way she looks and posts pictures in these different situations to keep up the charade.
Hear more of her story in the video above. And see what happens when she comes face-to-face with three friends whom she lied to, who say they feel violated, betrayed and angry with Sarah – and want answers.
On Wednesday’s episode of Dr. Phil, Dr. Phil questions Sarah about her behavior. How does she explain her behavior? And on Monday, Sarah is confronted by another former friend who is a cancer survivor. Is Sarah finally ready to change her ways? Check here to see where you can watch.
