“My dad came into my life when I was 5 years old, and from that point on, everything was perfect – mother, father, nice house, cars, money, trips – the world was ours,” says Deborah about her father, Robert Brashers. “My father was the greatest man in the world.”

However, Deborah says in January 1999, when she was 7, police showed up at her house with their guns drawn and her father died. “I was told my father died because the police shot him,” she says. “A few months later, I found out my father shot himself.”

Then, Deborah says her world was turned upside down three years ago when police came knocking on her door. Hear what she says happened and what she learned about the man she had put on a pedestal for 27 years.

Deborah says there were some clues while she was growing up that her father was living a double life. Find out what they were on Friday’s episode of Dr. Phil, "'My Father Was a Serial Killer.'" And, hear Dr. Phil’s advice for Deborah and her half-sister on how they can come to terms with the fact that the man they loved was also a killer. Check local listings to see where you can watch.
