'I Think They're Both Acting Like Spoiled Brats,' Woman Says Of Daughter And Son-In-Law
“Every time Chance and Lorreine have a fight, Lorreine comes to my house for protection. Chance ends up coming over to the house too, and they continue to argue,” Linda says. “I am concerned for her safety. I cannot tolerate them acting like two young children.”

In the video above from Thursday’s episode of Dr. Phil, Dr. Phil sheds light on what may be causing the couple to behave as they are.
“You’ve been violated on more than one occasion,” he says to Lorreine. “When that happens, emotional development is arrested at that point, because you go into an emotional fetal position. And then, if you start to come out of that and it happens again, then it just compounds that.”
To Chance, he says, “When you go through trauma in your family life, your emotional growth is stunted, and so it’s not like you’re consciously choosing to do some of the things you’re doing, but you do the best you can with what you have at the time, and right now, you guys are functioning like a couple of middle or high school kids emotionally.”
