‘I Wanted Someone To Beat Her Up,’ Tara Lambert Says About Ex-Friend She Hired A Hitman To Kill

          September 10, 2018

When Tara Lambert decided she wanted to hurt her ex-friend and mother of her husband’s children, Kellie Cooke, she enlisted the help of Ginny, an old high school acquaintance. Lambert says she wanted to send Cooke a message to not mess with her family anymore.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Are you involved in a story that has made the headlines?

Ginny, who made a threatening phone call to Cooke, claims that after that, Lambert told her she “wished” she could kill Cooke and “legally get away with it.” Tara claims that she never said anything of the sort. Ginny also claims Lambert contacted her on Facebook offering to pay someone to “take care” of “our” problem. That’s when Ginny says she went to police.

In an exclusive interview with Lambert airing Monday, Dr. Phil says, “Define ‘taking care of.’”

“I wanted someone to beat [Cooke] up. I wanted her to see that it wasn’t a joke,” Lambert says.

“So you thought, at that point, [Ginny] would go over there and just beat the crap out of her?” Dr. Phil asks.

          Lambert nods.

In the video above, hear a conversation between Lambert and Ginny – who was working with police -- about hiring a hitman to kill Cooke.

On Monday’s episode, hear more from Lambert about the murder-for-hire plot. And, the victim, Cooke, and Ginny, sit down together for the first time in an exclusive interview to tell their stories. Plus, on Tuesday, see video of the undercover police sting in which Lambert was laughing as she requested Cooke be put through a wood chipper. Check here to see where you can watch.
