‘I Woke Up To The Sounds Of My Daughters Screaming,’ Says Mother Of Slain 6-Year-Old

          December 15, 2016

“I woke up to the sounds of my daughters screaming,” says the girls’ mother, Allison, describing the morning her child was killed. In the video above, Allison details her struggle with David, before – and after–he fatally wounded Lauren.

Although he was charged with second-degree homicide, a judge ruled David was not responsible for Lauren’s death “by reason of mental disease or defect.” He was accordingly sent to a mental hospital.

It’s been over five years since Lauren was killed, and Allison says dealing with her child’s death isn’t any easier. “I cry every day, but not in public. Not around people.”
