‘I’m Afraid Of Having To Bury My Sister,’ Says Woman Whose Sibling Is Living Homeless In The Desert
Kaitlyn says she is very concerned about her older sister, Autumn, who has been camping in the Arizona desert with her partner, Mark, since the couple lost their jobs a year and a half ago. She says she has nothing against living a “nomadic” lifestyle. Still, in her opinion, the way that Autumn and Mark are choosing to live is neither safe nor suitable.
“You still need to be able to supply yourself with basic needs like running water [and] food,” she says. The couple admits they haul water in to their campsite every day and sometimes scrounges for food.
“I’m afraid of having to bury my sister,” says Kaitlyn.
Watch the video above to hear what Kaitlyn says happened in the summer of 2021 that caused Autumn to be hospitalized. Plus, find out why Autumn and Mark say they’d like to better their situation – but they just don’t trust the government.
And later, what does Dr. Phil suggest the couple might do to get themselves into safer living conditions?
