‘I’ve Come To Terms With The Fact That She May Just Die Soon,’ Teen Says About Mom Who Abuses Drugs

          VIDEO

          October 9, 2018

Cameron, 18, says that because his mom is addicted to prescription medications, he wasn’t able to live with her until he was 13 years old. He claims at that time, the household was chaotic because of his mom’s addiction and his stepfather’s drinking.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Have a family drama that needs Dr. Phil’s help?

“John hated me, and my mom didn’t ever take my side,” the teen claims. “When I was 14, they were fighting, and it got so bad that I could not take it anymore, and I ran out of my room, and I grabbed a knife, and I told her that I was about to stab him because of the things that he did.”

John claims that he tried to bond with Cameron but that the young man didn’t want anything to do with him. Heather says that she took her son to the Greyhound station because he refused to follow the rules.
