'Making A Murderer''s Steven Avery's Fiancée Opens Up About Why She Got Cold Feet
When Lynn Hartman, 53, watched the Netflix series, "Making A Murderer," she says she felt compelled to reach out to convicted killer Steven Avery, whom she says she believes is innocent. The two began writing letters to each other, she says, ultimately met in person, and then got engaged last month.
"It was just like magic," she tells Dr. Phil in an exclusive interview airing Monday."He was the whole package."
But she also says that at one point she got cold feet, in part because she feared what her family would think about her. "It was just a completely different scenario for me than anything I'd ever gone through in my whole life," says Hartman, a divorced paralegal.
