Justin says that Danielle is the perfect girl for him because “she gets me on all wavelengths.” He denies that he’s a “woman beater” and says he has only gotten physical with Danielle because she pushed and punched him.

When Dr. Phil asks Justin about putting his hands on Danielle out of anger, Justin defends his behavior.

“I would say that it’s not out of anger. It’s to relieve the situation,” he explains. “Most men on this earth were, you know, grown up and taught to don’t ever hit a woman close fist, open hand or anything like that, you know, like, restrain the woman so that you can calm down the situation … we all know that, you know, females are extremely emotional.”

In the video above, Dr. Phil asks Danielle why she is OK with their relationship getting physical. And, he offers a powerful message to Danielle and Justin.

“There is absolutely unequivocally no excuse for him choking you unconscious. There’s absolutely no excuse for you getting a black eye,” he says to Danielle. “This is dangerous and if you’re saying, ‘Well, I’m the one that started it,’ then you’re being dangerous. I mean this is childish, immature, lack of impulse control behavior on both of your parts.”
