Angie claims her former stepfather, Ralph, molested her, starting when she was 17. Her daughter, Hannah, also claims Ralph molested her until she was 5-years-old. They haven’t seen Ralph for nearly 16 years, but have chosen to confront him about the alleged abuse on Dr. Phil.
TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Conflict so big it needs a Dr. Phil solution?
Ralph adamantly denies ever having touched either Angie or Hannah
inappropriately. On Tuesday’s episode
, he agrees to take a polygraph examination to clear his name.
The polygraph is administered by former FBI special agent and polygraph examiner, Jack Trimarco. Trimarco says most professional polygraph examiners believe the test is accurate between 90-93%.
When the results come back indicating Ralph was deceptive in his responses to questions about the alleged abuse of Angie and Hannah he says, “That’s a surprise to me.”
“You took advantage of the situation and you completely messed me up. And you messed her up – and that’s unforgiveable,” says Angie. “It wasn’t just me, it was my daughter. You are a predator.”
“I hope you get your kids taken away,” says Hannah.
Angie's mother, Leta, who was divorced from Ralph 15 years ago and has said she never witnessed the abuse now asserts, “I believe them – I doubt myself, because I don’t match up.”
“I don’t know how it happened – this test. I did not ever touch them,” says Ralph professing his innocence.
Will Angie and Hannah finally be able to put this chapter of their lives behind them
and find peace? Tune in to Tuesday’s Dr. Phil.
