McKinley says she decided to stop having contact with her father, Cory, at 13, when she learned he’d gone to jail on two charges of sexual battery of a minor. Cory acknowledges pleading guilty to the Class A misdemeanor but insists he did not commit the crime.

Cory says since McKinley stopped seeing him, he has done everything in his power to try and enforce his parental rights. He claims his ex-wife “brainwashed” McKinley by turning her against him.

“I don’t know how any parent that loves their kid could interfere with their relationship with their other parent,” says Cory, but McKinley insists her mother had nothing to do with it.

“My mom never, ever talked badly about him,” she says, adding, “He is the reason I stopped seeing him. His actions.”
