“My mom thinks she’s dying from complications from her gastric bypass, but she’s dying from the painkillers and the drugs,” he says, claiming that Helen has occasionally injured herself on purpose to get more medication.

“My mom has been known to be jumping from pain doctor to pain doctor, from hospital to hospital to get what she wants,” he claims.

Helen adamantly denies Nate’s claim that she’s abusing painkillers. She insists she needs the medication due to chronic illness and complications from multiple surgeries that have left her weak, malnourished, and unable to walk without assistance.
