Chris Vaughn was shot twice before he was found limping on a highway one morning in June 2007. His wife and three children were then discovered dead with gunshot wounds in their SUV – and Chris was convicted of murdering them.

Chris’ parents, Gail and Pierre, say they believe their son is innocent. They say Chris recently revealed what he claims happened that fateful day: his wife shot and killed the kids before turning the gun on herself.

In their first television interview airing Monday on Dr. Phil, the parents share what they say were some out-of-character behaviors they claim their daughter-in-law exhibited in the months before the shootings. Watch in the video above.

On Monday’s episode, “Murder in the Suburbs,” hear more from Vaughn’s parents, including how they say they learned about the tragedy. And, a private investigator shares why he also believes Chris is innocent. Plus, on Tuesday, “Murder in the Suburbs: Inside the SUV,” the investigator does a reenactment of the crime scene based on Vaughn’s allegations in a letter Vaughn wrote. Plus, hear from the former Assistant State’s attorney who believes Chris is right where he belongs. Check local listings to see where you can watch.
