David, 53, recently became engaged to his 24-year-old girlfriend, Brooke, whom he has been dating for one year.
“Her beauty is the first thing that caught my attention,” David says of his fiancée who is just five years older than his daughter. “There is definitely great chemistry between Brooke and I.”TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: At odds with a family member?
After a few months of dating, David moved Brooke and her two young children into his home that he shares with his 19-year-old daughter, Bree. He admits that he didn’t tell Bree which has caused a strain in their once-close relationship.

He also admits that he didn’t tell Bree that he was planning to propose to Brooke. “I lied to my daughter; I told her that Brooke and I were never going to get married and I was never going to get married again. I completely broke my daughter's trust,” David says. “I’m just caught in the middle between the two of them.”
