Man Who Claims To Struggle With Anxiety Calls Bedroom In His Parents’ Home A ‘Prison And A Sanctuary’
“At other times in his life, Jake was much more functional,” says Susan, who claims her adult son, Jacob, would likely end up homeless if she and her husband, Randy, weren’t taking care of him. The couple says the 27-year-old son barely leaves his room and refuses to do simple chores, pay his bills or shower.
Jacob, who calls his bedroom both “a prison and a sanctuary,” says he struggles with anxiety, has “zero motivation,” and has been in a “terrible funk” since learning he failed his teaching observation twice last spring.
